# Add your business information

> Business information is how customers reach and find your company: phone numbers, email addresses, your website, social profiles and app listings.

Business information is how customers reach and find your company: phone numbers, email addresses, your website, social profiles and app listings. Aide gives these to customers exactly as you saved them.

## Add a reference

1. Go to Knowledge and open Business information.
2. Select "Create reference" and choose a type: Phone Number, Email Address, Website, an Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, GitHub or YouTube profile, or an Apple App Store or Google Play listing.
3. Fill in the details and save.

Each reference has an optional note, such as "Weekdays 9 to 5". Aide includes the note when it helps. References Aide found on your website are marked "From your website".

## How Aide uses it

* **A customer asks how to reach you:** Aide gives the phone number, email address or profile word for word.
* **Everywhere Aide writes:** chat, email, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp replies, and Copilot drafts for your team. The check Aide runs before sending a reply sees it too, so a correct phone number isn't flagged as made up.
* **Facts only:** Aide never treats business information as an instruction, and never promises a refund, credit or exception because of something written in it.
* **Deleted references** are left out as soon as you delete them.

## Limits

Aide reads up to 40 references, oldest first, and about 4,000 characters of values and notes. Anything past that is left out of replies, so keep the list to what customers need.
