Connecting Shopify lets Aide show each customer’s orders on their conversations, answer “where is my order?” questions, and learn your product catalog. Aide and your team can also act on orders: see Cancel, refund and change Shopify orders from a conversation and Let Aide cancel, refund and change orders in chat.

Connect from the Aide dashboard

  1. In Aide, open Integrations and choose Shopify.
  2. Enter your store’s myshopify.com address and select Connect.
  3. Shopify asks you to approve access, then sends you back to Aide with the store connected.
You can enter the store name (your-store), its address (your-store.myshopify.com), or a link copied from your Shopify admin; Aide works out the address. Custom domains like yourstore.com aren’t accepted: find your myshopify.com address in Shopify under Settings > Domains. The store joins the workspace you’re signed in to.

Install from Shopify instead

You can also install Aide from the Shopify App Store or open it in your Shopify admin. If your email already belongs to an Aide workspace, Aide offers to connect the store to it; otherwise it creates a workspace for the store. Aide then works inside your Shopify admin as well as in the full dashboard; see Aide in your Shopify admin.

What Aide reads from Shopify

  • Orders and fulfilments, including tracking
  • Products and variants
  • Customers
  • Inventory levels
Your products become a knowledge source automatically, so Aide can answer questions about sizes, materials or availability with current prices and stock.

Which orders Aide uses

For email, helpdesk and social conversations, the sender’s address identifies the customer, and the conversation shows their most recent orders from every connected store. In chat, Aide’s replies use a shopper’s orders only when their identity is verified, for example a shopper logged in to your store. Orders matched only by a typed email are shown to your team, marked as unverified, but never to Aide. See Shopify orders, shipments and tracking in a conversation and How shoppers prove an order is theirs.

More than one store

Once a store is connected, the same page shows Add another store. How many stores you can connect depends on your plan: Free and Starter include 1 store, Pro up to 3, and Scale unlimited.

Reconnect a store

If Shopify stops accepting Aide’s access, the store shows Needs reconnecting on the Shopify integration page, and Aide can’t look up its orders or products. Select Reconnect beside the store and approve access again. Its conversations and settings stay as they were.

Billing through Shopify

A workspace with a Shopify store connected and no paid card plan pays for Aide on the store’s Shopify bill. You choose, change or cancel the plan on Shopify’s plan page. Uninstalling the app ends the Shopify subscription and the workspace falls back to Free. See Pay for Aide through Shopify.

Disconnect

Use Disconnect beside the store on the Shopify integration page. Orders from a disconnected store no longer show on conversations.
